Though I can look back and see some pretty significant changes in the last ten months. I've made new friends, lost some old and new friends, taken leaps of faith, worked 3 jobs, etc. Here is a nice little recap of ME. This may take awhile...
I met a military boy. As somewhat embarrassing as it was, we met online. After a couple weeks of communicating over email and phone conversations we decided to meet in person. By New Year's it was a no deal. He was seemingly not okay with my "Mormon" lifestyle and all that entails. That hurt a little but I take that with a grain of salt.
My friend, Trishy, started dating a boy who just came home from his mission. He went to NC State University. With her constant visits she got to know his friends very well. She comes back after a weekend visiting him telling me I must meet one of his best friends. Within two weeks she had me up to go on a double date (my half of this date scenario was bling, she did not share on detail about him other than I should meet him). Let's call him Bear Fighter. Bear Fighter and I have been together ever since. :)
From January until mid-April I worked three jobs. (In that time I met Bear Fighter. We held regular Skype dates.) I landed a full time position as a Sales Coordinator for two hotel properties in Wilmington (only took 3 years), went to part time as a legal assistant (former full time job), and my seasonal job as a Production Manager for Go! Time Events was in full swing. This helped my finances a lot but left me little time to sleep. I am surprised I didn't scare Bear Fighter away!
K.Rowe and I finally made it to Ireland. The next post will be nothing but details into that. I LOVED IT! I was more into the hiking adventures that I thought I was going to. I did not, however, like Dublin. Not to sound like a hypocrite but there were too many tourists. I will go back but not to such a major city.
Things between Bear Fighter and I are getting more serious.. we actually like spending real time together. My previously mentioned full time job, however great to have on the resume was driving me insane (mostly from my boss, my coworkers were great!), Bear Fighter landed his first teaching job in Greensboro ... putting us even FARTHER apart. We talked about it and we decided I would relocate to be closer. Long story short, I moved.
After being unemployed for a month, frantically sending out my resume to every hotel sales lead that opened and the meticulous follow up, I am now a Catering Sales Manager for a hotel in the area.
Most of my future posts will consist of me getting to know the Greensboro community both personally and professionally. Hello, new friends!
