Seattle, WA - This place is by far my favorite in the continental U.S. Don't get me wrong, I am southern through and through but I love this city. The art scene is prominent out there, the farmer's market is a lovely place to be on a lazy day. The mountains and parks just call out to you to walk around and enjoy nature. Everything is so green, the plants obviously but they way of life too. Public transportation is popular (also meaning, everyday people use it so the city takes care of it.), reduce, reuse, recycle are true ways of life for most people out there not just a fad. LOVE IT!!

Ireland - I don't know if I can pick just one city. I need to visit first before I pick that. I love the landscape I have seen, so picturesque. The history, the culture, maybe the food haha (I'll try that authenticly one day...) I also have a lot of family Irish heritage. Go back to my homeland so to speak ;).

Dana....Ireland is indeed a beautiful place, but it is still in many ways fraught with danger from the days of war!
ReplyDeleteThere are still un-necessary killings that go on, and there is and will always be discourse between the protestants and catholics.
You should find out whereabouts your family are from...Fingers crossed it is Eire and not Northern Ireland...My brother in law is Northern Irish and his father was kidnapped by the IRA and held at gunpoint, altohugh thankfully later released. My own Dad used to fly to visit Ballymena on business. It is the only place in the world where his life was threatened because of his position in industry, and where his comany insisted he used the comapany jet to get to and from and where an armoured car would pick him up at the steps from the plane actually on the tarmac because his life was in threat! it is a scary place still, but very very beautiful.
I cannot comment on Seattle - I have only been once a very long time ago...I think it certainly deserves another visit.
Lou :-)
